Shilajeet Lab Test Report

This page publishes a laboratory test report in full. SaffronTownKashmir&Co submitted a sample of Shilajeet — approximately 30 gm of our Ladakhi Shilajit resin — to Uniq Nutri Bio-Sciences LLP, Jaipur, which analysed it between 13 and 16 September 2025 and released Report No. UNBS/NND/25/09/13-01. The report covers fulvic acid, humic acid, selected heavy metals, minerals and nutritional parameters.

This report is evidence for the Shilajeet sample identified on it. It is not a test of every product we sell. Our saffron has a separate report, published separately, and other products are not covered by either document.

The Result

The sample was tested for fulvic and humic acid content, four heavy metals, fourteen minerals, and seven other nutritional parameters. Fulvic acid measured 74.01% and humic acid 10.83%. All four heavy metals tested — lead, arsenic, mercury and cadmium — came back below the laboratory's limit of quantification. The laboratory's own recorded remark was that all the parameters are according to FSSAI guidelines.

Analysis ran from 13 to 16 September 2025, with the report released on 16 September 2025.

Full Test Results

Test methods are the laboratory's own standard test procedures (UNBS/STP series), referenced by number below. BLQ means the result came back below the laboratory's limit of quantification (LOQ) for that parameter — not zero, but too low for the method to measure precisely.

Laboratory remarks recorded on the report: “All the parameters are according to FSSAI guidelines.” BLQ — Below Limit of Quantification, LOQ — Limit of Quantification.

What These Numbers Mean

  • Fulvic acid and humic acid are the two organic acid groups that make up the bulk of shilajit resin and are commonly used as the main quality markers for it. This sample measured 74.01% fulvic acid and 10.83% humic acid.
  • Heavy metals — lead, arsenic, mercury and cadmium — matter for shilajit specifically because it is a mineral-rich resin exuded from rock strata, and raw, unprocessed shilajit from unverified sources has a documented history of heavy-metal contamination. All four came back below the laboratory's limit of quantification in this sample. If you want a fuller explanation of what to look for in any shilajit lab report, not just ours, see how to check if shilajit is actually lab tested.
  • Minerals and other nutrients (iron, magnesium, calcium, zinc and the rest) describe the mineral and nutritional composition of the resin per 100 g, as measured by the laboratory's standard test procedures.

Test Scope

The report covers a single Shilajeet sample of approximately 30 g, received by the laboratory on 13 September 2025 and tested over the following three days. The report records no batch number, manufacturing date or expiry date for the sample (all marked “NA” on the original).

A note on accreditation: our saffron report was issued by a NABL-accredited laboratory under ISO/IEC 17025:2017, the dedicated Indian accreditation framework for testing laboratories. This Shilajeet report was issued by a laboratory that describes itself on the report as “Government Approved” and ISO 9001 and ILAC-MRA certified — ISO 9001 is a quality-management-system standard, not a laboratory-testing-competence accreditation in the way ISO/IEC 17025 is. We are publishing exactly what the report states and are not representing the two as equivalent.

Understanding Our Laboratory Reports

We publish laboratory reports so you can read the measured values yourself instead of taking a badge on a product page at face value. Four things get confused with one another in this industry, and they are not the same:

  • Laboratory testing is what this page shows: a laboratory measured specified parameters in a specified sample on specified dates, and recorded the numbers. That is all a test report is.
  • Regulatory compliance is a separate question about whether a business and its products meet the rules that apply to them. The laboratory recorded a remark that the parameters are according to FSSAI guidelines. That is the laboratory's observation about the tested parameters — it is not an FSSAI certification, an FSSAI approval, or a regulator's finding about our business.
  • Certification and accreditation describe the laboratory, not the product. They say something about the laboratory's competence to run tests. They do not certify what was tested.
  • Product claims are what a seller says about a product. A test report can support a narrow, specific claim about the sample tested. It cannot support a general claim such as “100% pure” or a health or treatment claim, and we do not make those.

Our FSSAI licence number is 11025470000080, printed at the foot of this page. That is a licence to operate as a food business. It is a different thing from the laboratory report above, and neither one stands in for the other.

What This Report Does Not Cover

We'd rather tell you this ourselves than have you find it in the fine print:

  • It covers the Shilajeet sample only. It is not evidence about our saffron, dry fruits, honey or any other product. Those are separate products and would need their own reports.
  • It does not test for botanical authenticity or adulteration. This is a nutritional and heavy-metal panel. It does not confirm the sample is genuine shilajit resin as opposed to a compounded or substituted product.
  • Only four heavy metals were tested — lead, arsenic, mercury and cadmium. It is not a full contaminant or pesticide-residue screen.
  • It is one sample, not a certificate of conformity for stock. See the Test Scope section above.
  • The laboratory itself restricts how this report may be used — see the disclaimer at the bottom of this page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does SaffronTownKashmir&Co have laboratory testing documentation?
Yes. SaffronTownKashmir&Co has published laboratory testing documentation, including a Shilajeet report issued by Uniq Nutri Bio-Sciences LLP, Jaipur.

What product or sample does this laboratory report cover?
The report covers a Shilajeet sample of approximately 30 gm submitted by SaffronTownKashmir&Co.

What parameters were tested?
The report includes fulvic acid, humic acid, selected heavy metals, minerals and nutritional parameters.

Were heavy metals reported in the Shilajeet sample?
Lead, arsenic, mercury and cadmium are reported as BLQ (Below Limit of Quantification) in this report, with the laboratory's stated LOQ values.

Does this prove the heavy metals are completely absent?
No. “BLQ” means the result was below the laboratory's limit of quantification for that metal — too low for the test method to measure precisely — not a claim of zero content.

Does this report prove the shilajit is pure or unadulterated?
No. This is a nutritional and heavy-metal panel, not an authenticity or adulteration test. See What This Report Does Not Cover above.

Does this mean the product is FSSAI certified or FSSAI approved?
No. The laboratory recorded a remark that the parameters are according to FSSAI guidelines. That is an observation about the tested parameters, not a certification or approval by FSSAI. See Understanding Our Laboratory Reports above.

Is this the same kind of accreditation as your saffron report?
Not exactly. The saffron report came from a NABL-accredited laboratory under ISO/IEC 17025:2017. This report's laboratory states it is Government Approved and ISO 9001 / ILAC-MRA certified, which is a different accreditation framework. See the note under Report Details above.

What should I check on any shilajit lab report, not just this one?
See our general guide, how to check if shilajit is actually lab tested, which covers what a credible report contains, how to read BLQ/LOQ figures, and warning signs to watch for.
