Our Farm in Pampore
Six generations. One family. One patch of karewa soil in Pampore.
This page exists because "farmer-direct" is a claim you'll see on a lot of saffron websites. We'd rather show you what that actually means for us, in specific terms, than just repeat the phrase.
Where We Actually Are
We're based at Main Bus Stop, Pampore, in the Pulwama district of Jammu & Kashmir — the town long known as Kashmir's "Saffron Town," and the same town our family has farmed in for six generations. Every order that leaves our hands ships from here, not from a warehouse or a third-party fulfillment center.
What "Six Generations" Actually Looks Like
It means the same family has grown saffron on this land long enough that the traditional harvesting methods — hand-picking at dawn, separating the stigma from the flower the same day, natural drying rather than machine processing — were passed down rather than learned from a manual. The autumn crocus bloom lasts only 2–3 weeks each year, and that narrow window has shaped our family's calendar for generations, not just this one.
We Grow. We Don't Just Sell.
This is the actual distinction we'd ask you to weigh against any "farmer-direct" claim you read elsewhere: we are not a trading company that buys saffron, almonds, or walnuts from other growers and puts our name on the packaging. Our saffron comes from our own fields. Our Mamra almonds and walnut kernels come from our own orchards. When we expanded into honey, Ladakhi Shilajit, Kashmiri red chilli, and Shahi Kehwa, we followed the same principle — direct sourcing, not relabeling.
See the Process, Not Just the Claim
Rather than ask you to take our word for it, here's the detail: how our saffron is grown and harvested, how our walnuts are harvested, and why genuine saffron costs what it does — including how to spot the warning signs of products that don't actually come from a farm like ours.

If you want to ask us something specific about the farm, the harvest, or a particular product before you order, get in touch — we'd rather answer a direct question than have you guess.
